Pumpkin Ponche de Creme

Pumpkin Ponche de creme is just another version of the popular christmas drink Ponche de Creme from the island of Trinidad and Tobago

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pureed pumpkin you can use canned or fresh pumpkin
  • 1 can evaporated milk (12 ounces)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 – 1 can condensed milk (12 ounces)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence you can use a mixture of vanilla and almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon angostura bitters optional
  • 3/4 cup white rum any rum will do

Instructions

  • Add pumpkin, both milks , dry spices and blend well, add essence, bitters and rum and blend until nice and smooth.
    Place in your refrigerator until ready to use, best serve wuth crush ice.
    Garnish with a sprinkling of grated nutmeg
