Ratchet and Clank the Movie
On Saturday April 16th we took our granddaughter to see the Ratchet and Clank movie. The event space was put together thoughtfully. Many pictures were taken as our granddaughter got busy striking poses on the red carpet. Yes, she was in Red carpet Heaven! Her quote: “I felt like a superstar!”
She eagerly helped herself to the juice and found that coloring was more important than the cheese platter.
Cookie found her 3D Glasses, juice and popcorn in hand.
Cookie loved coloring the Ratchet and Clank coloring book.
The mini sandwiches and cheese platter were very well done. We did our best to control ourselves.
Cookie (as we have nicknamed her) saw the 3-D glasses before we did and handed them out to us. It was very nice to see a young kid excited about a movie when I had just shown her the trailer not an hour before. As the movie started she told me (Papa) to sit back and relax. I told her not to worry, as I love to relax. She though, could hardly contain her excitement and sat on the edge or well, the front of the theater chair. She was so excited! From the moment the movie started the three of us were well involved. The 3-D effects were “in your face” wonderful. As I munched on the popcorn I asked Cookie if she wanted some. Her answer was more or less not to bother her as the movie was going on and she didn’t want to miss anything. So the three of us just watched the movie together. Even through the loudness of the music and action going on, you could hear her laugh and giggle. Cookie on the red carpet
The movie was action packed and funny. We feel no shame in admitting that we loved the movie. When we asked Cookie what she thought of the movie, her first response was “good”. Then before we could ask a more leading question she started chatting about how Ratchet was funny but didn’t always do everything the right way. She seemed to know the characters names better than we did! Cookie went on to say she couldn’t wait to get to school on Monday so she can tell her friends about the movie and how she had the best time, especially with the 3D glasses. All the way home Cookie talked about the movie. She really enjoyed it. She wanted to know when we will take her to see it again. (We will be taking her along with some of her friends to see the #ratchetandclankmovie when it opens IN THEATERS FRIDAY.) After the movie was over, we gathered our stuff and chatted with the other bloggers. Everyone was friendly and easy going. We grabbed some more popcorn and another slice or two of pizza. A few more pictures were taken and we were given a gift bag. We had lots of fun meeting everyone and of course the movie was just great.
My favorite quote of the movie was “You don’t have to do big things to be a hero, just the right things.”
