This is just what I needed on that gloomy and snowy Saturday when my Easter Bun arrived.

And if you are into Caribbean spices and tradition, you need this bun on your breakfast table this Easter and beyond.

I was thrilled  to have gotten an email from Miss Cherry’s bakery about their Easter Bun and other offerings .
Although I am not a big fan of a lot of sweet eats, let’s just say I do not have a sweet tooth, but boy OH! BOY, this Easter Bun from Miss Cherrys Bakery may just have changed my sweet tooth palate. It was this GOOD in every bite.!

I think that this Easter Bun is going to be a winner, it’s already a winner in my book. SO DELICIOUS!

This bun was so good, you could taste every spice, SO AMAZING!  nice and moist, the right amount of fruits and cherries, nothing was an overkill, this bun is like so perfect, the best bun I have eaten coming from a bakery, you will not believe it wasn’t made at home. SO flavorful, even my mother was enjoying this bun and she is a very picky eater.

The Story behind the Bakery

Miss Cherry Rumcakes

Cheryl (or “Cherry”, our namesake) is the youngest of 13 children born and raised in Spanish Town Jamaica. She learned the fundamentals of running a bakery from an early age. Her father owned and operated Sunrise Bakery that specialized in traditional Caribbean baked goods. Born to parents that emigrated from China, Cherry immersed herself into the Jamaican culture and soon found a passion for perfecting the Jamaican Black Cake. Cheryl lives with her husband in Flushing, New York and regularly visits her grand-kids in South Florida, where she is often found cooking up stew peas, oxtail and curry goat in the kitchen!

Chef Debbie Lyn is a culinary school graduate that has cooked in fine dining NYC restaurants for over 10 years.  She owned her own restaurant and catering company in Brooklyn, NY. After having her children, she moved into the private chef sector, and has cooked & baked for many high profile clients between NYC and South Florida. She always felt a strong connection to her roots, and being of Chinese-Jamaican descent, felt the importance of carrying on the Jamaican culture that she was so happily immersed in as a child. Chef Debbie lives with her husband and two children, Camille & Quinn in Jupiter, Florida.
